Machu Picchu is of great significance due to its incredible state of preservation, as a result it was named a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1983. Machu Picchu was built as a royal estate to serve emperors and nobles at the height of the Inca Empire. The civilization’s architectural and agricultural abilities are highlighted through the detailed stonework and advanced irrigation system. The project site will change each day to ensure as many people are reached as possible. During the program, you will deliver free care, support rehabilitation exercises, and provide education to promote the health and well-being of impoverished communities.
You will end the day with dinner with your host family.
